Community Guidelines
These guidelines repeat the community rules already in our Terms. They are not a new contract. If this page and the Terms differ, the Terms of Use control. This is not legal advice.
Who can post
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Apps.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login details secure.
- You own the content you create — community posts (“reels”), photos, prices, comments, and grocery items.
- You confirm you have the rights to share what you post.
What not to post
When using the Apps, you agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent prices, deals, or store information.
- Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, or infringes anyone’s rights.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or business.
- Attempt to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the Apps, our backend, or usage limits.
- Use the Apps for spam, advertising, or any commercial purpose we have not authorised.
We may set and enforce reasonable usage limits (including daily photo scans) to keep the service reliable.
Photos
- When you post a store check-in or deal photo, photograph the store or the price tag, not people.
- Prices and deals shared by the community are user-generated and may be inaccurate, out of date, or unavailable. Always confirm in store before purchasing.
- Check the product and the price in the store before you buy. OptiFresh does not sell the groceries. We are not responsible for the quality, freshness, ingredients, or how you feel after you eat or use something you bought from a store.
Reporting, hiding, and appeals
- Shoppers can report or block posts in the Community viewer.
- We may remove or restrict User Content that violates the Terms, is reported, or expires, without notice.
- If enough unique reports hide your post from other shoppers, you can appeal from Profile → Settings → Privacy. We email the team; we do not promise 24/7 human review of every post.
Retailer catalogues
Weekly supermarket catalogues (Coles, Woolworths, ALDI) are an Australia-only catalogue feature. They are not shown when your location is outside Australia. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by those retailers.
